Departing from Pakostane with speed boat at 9.00.AM, at hi-season 18,06-16.09. 8,30 AM , we head south by Arta islands and through the Pirovac channel, arriving then to a bridge that divides mainland from Murter island, turning it into a penisula. Passing under the bridge, we leave Murter behind us. Driving next to the coast we pass a fishing place Tribunj which is almost connected to another turistic place, Vodice. From here we can admire the view to the big lighthouse, introducing our way to the St. Ante channel.
At the channel's entrance we pass by an artificial island, the magnificent St. Nicholas fortress dating from the 15th century.
The channel is also Krka estuary where already green and blue brackish water looms. On the way out we see king Kresimir's town of Šibenik. First stop is near catedral. Moving north along the Krka river we go below the "Šibenik bridge" (30m high) where our drive through the canyon that ends in Lake Prokljan initiates.
The magnificent "Dalmatina" highway's bridge foreshadows the last mile and a historic town Skradin. Introduced with the region's history, we then take a river boat to explore the Krka National Park.
After coming to Krka's famous touristic location Skradinski buk, taking a walk (and lunch!) near the trees that literally grow from water, while listening to the sound of the waterfall "Skradinski buk", we will remind you that you are still in the continental part of Dalmatia, although the view might seem a bit different.
After taking the same route back we stop in the oldest Croatian town on the coast - Šibenik.
We take one more photo by the St. Nicholas fortress, slowly heading back to our "base" - Pakostane, around 18 p.m.
